I was sposed to work yesterday (Saturday i mean, this post says it was Monday cos i posted after 12am, shouldn't make that mistake again) lol, as i mentioned, didn't turned out as i had hoped. I forgot that i had to wear black shoes, so i just wore normal shoes, so when i get there, the manager tells me i have the wrong shoes, she didn't seem too angry, so i went home to get my black shoes, then i realised i had just gotten a new wallet the day before and had forgotten to put my keys on the new wallet. So what do ya know, i'm locked out. My grandma was only in Mascot, but by the time i would've got there and back, my shift at KFC would be like over. So i walked back to KFC, told the manager of my problem and she seemed to understand, since it was only training and they weren't relying on me to do something. Then i caught a bus to Mascot and came back, and just made it back in time for Will and Grace (still thanking God for that one). I was shitting myself all Friday night, so i wasn't really happy that i had a whole other night of shitting myself, since they said i could go back today (Sunday) to be trained. I arrived, and saw that Anthony, who i knew from both High School and Primary school was training me, after that it was a breeze. It was a lot easier since i knew Anthony and i am still thankful i forgot my shoes on Saturday. I have work tomorrow too, they can only call me for work on Saturday, Monday and Thursday though, since i put i was free on those days on my application (although i meant to put Sunday instead of Monday, i should probably clear that up with my manager before school starts). Today was only a 3hr shift and so is tomorrow. I'm still a tiny bit nervous, as all the information i have to take in is quite overwhelming, and i hear the cook who is on tomorow is a real dickhead so we'll see what happens. And i found out the pay is like $7 an hr, but only $4.50 if you're getting trained lol. I'm not in a real rush for money now anyway, i just wanna save up for a laptop. And that's my 'first shift at my first job' experience =]
