12:18 AM

I must say, when i made the decision to not sleep until 4am last night, i made a mistake. I set my alarm for 12, several alarms actually, but turned them off and actually slept until 2pm. I mean, anything after 1 is bad, because you lose your day. It gets dark a couple of hours after you wake up, and when it's 12am (like it is now), it feels as if it's 8pm or something. It's such a strange feeling and i don't like it, i have experienced it before, but never this bad. Well i've developed a plan to put my mobile phone at the other side of the room tomorrow morning, so i have to get up to turn it off. I'm aiming to get up at 10, so i can sleep early in order to get up early on Monday, but we'll see what happens. I know i won't be able to sleep until at least 3 tonight.

In other news, i watched TMNT the other night, i found it enjoyable, but probably only because i used to watch the cartoon as a kid, and it's nice reliving experienes from your childhood. I was lucky enough to find a file that was close to DVD quality, so that was good. I took Edwin to see Meet The Robinsons the other day too, but i was so freakin' tired that i fell asleep in the cinema! Edwin noticed and woke me up, but oh well, i slept when i got home. The movie was good, from what i gathered.

I'm not really bothered about going back to school, although it's gonna be a challenge juggling Big Brother, school, and possibly, a job. We'll just see what happens, i just know if there's an episode of Big Brother on, i'd watch it any day over doing any sort of school work, maybe i'll just have to learn how to multitask. Don't even get me started on how i'm going to read the new Harry Potter book so close to the actual HSC, i'll probably read it slowly, because last time i rushed my ass off to read the sixth one, as to avoid spoilers, and i took none of it in, hence why i'm re-reading it now, ready for the release of the new one (a chapter a day is my motto). I skipped reading the fifth though, i thought i had a good idea of what happened in it, but it turns out i don't, since i don't get any of the references to it in the sixth, i'll probably re-read it too before the movie comes out.

My Grandma and i have settled nicely into not having Aunty Ngaire here, the painter even came on Thursday and Friday, and our loungeroom and kitchen does look brighter now.

I'm sick of Extension 2, it's always at the back of mind, not because i care, because i fear what happens when i don't do any work. I just want to get back to school and get my exam marks back, i just have a feeling i did well, even though i've heard that nobody got an A in Extension, well there goes that hope.

It looks like i won't be getting ADSL2 for a while. Optus, only now advises me that they are unable to switch over my phone line from Iprimus, so i have to cancel the account with Iprimus in order for Optus to connect, which can take a minimum of a week, or so i'm told, and there is no way in hell i'm doing that, especially not in the holidays, and while Big Brother's on, so there goes that, and since Iprimus doesn't offer ADSL2, there's no way i can get it without having an outage time, great isn't it. Oh well, i'll live on 256k. By the way, i was on the phone to Optus for at least an hour before i got the correct information out of them, i reckon i went through every internet department they have before i got the information i needed.

Freedom! That's the word i can find to describe the fact that the computer is now in my room, it's something i've always wanted - no more headphones, no more waiting for Grandma to go to bed to look at porn, it's bliss. I'm rarely in the lounge now, and the lounge is so much more spacious with the computer moved. Once the painters come it'll be like a completely different unit.

I cannot believe how fast these holidays are going, it seems like just yesterday i was at CityHunter last Saturday, we went again today, it seems to get less fun everytime, the fun actually comes afterwards when we window shop everywhere that we can think of. I also got the second issue of the new Buffy comics, loving it.

Carlos and Danniel came over on Thursday to help me put the desk up, and yes, it was quite a task, but we eventually got it done, Carlos slept over, and we saw 300 yesterday, it was an alright movie, i wouldn't say it's the best, but it was visually pleasing to watch, and thankfully, i managed to buy Avril's album while i was at it, it really grew on me, i can't believe that only a week ago i didn't like it. Carlos and I watched Little Miss Sunshine on Thursday night, it is an awesome movie, one of my favourites actually, it's funny yet depressing at the same time, black comedy i suppose, nothing like Monty Python though, nothing that extreme.

I guess i better start doing some work on Extension 2, i keep telling myself i'll start tomorrow, tomorrow, always tomorrow.

Why is the floor uneven in my room? Why does my new desk keep wobbling? Questions only the builders who built this place can answer.

Well, everything seems to be going well these holidays. I've done nothing school-related, in my head i'm convincing myself that i'll start when i have a new desk. Speaking of the desk, Raj is dropping it off from his shop sometime tonight (scrap that, halfway through typing this message he dropped it off), and Danniel and Carlos are coming over tomorrow to help me put it up, basically. Because there is no chance in hell that i can put a table up, no matter how hard i try.

Yesterday, my Grandma and I went to Broadway to get my LCD monitor, since the Dick Smith at Moore Park didn't have any of the one i wanted left. It's pretty cool, in the looks department i mean, the speakers aren't that crash hot, but i can't imagine any speakers on LCD screens being that good; as long as i change the EQ and turn the bass up, they're fine, they just don't go too loud, which isn't really a hassle, unless i'm watching something, but i can still hear it, it's just not 'loud'.

Having my own room is such a joy, i can stay up until all hours of the morning watching TV, and it'll be even better with the computer in my room, i'll be able to stay up forever doing God knows what. Watching DVDs in the lounge after my Grandma had gone to bed was always a hassle, seeing as i have surround sound, and it was really hard to have it at a level where i could hear the dialogue, but the action wasn't too loud.

Scrap not liking Avril's album, i love it now, can't wait to buy it on Saturday, as well as the re-release of Beyonce's album, with a video for nearly every song.

12:46 AM

I woke up at around 1pm today to find my Grandma having moved everything around in Aunty Ngaire's room (she left at around 6am). It was then that i knew we had a big day ahead of us; at first i thought we were just cleaning, but then i realised that my Grandma wanted to move into Aunty Ngaire's room today, at first we were just sorting her room out, but i thought what the heck, why not sort my room out too. We were moving things until around 7pm. I'm so glad to finally get my own room, it's liberating, i haven't fully had my own room for years. There is just so much more space in both of our rooms now, and we get privacy, Aunty Ngaire was such a burden.

We're getting the desk and LCD on Tuesday i think, the Dick Smith's at Moore Park doesn't have the LCD i want, so we're either going to Broadway, Burwood or Parramatta, i'm getting the LCD i want if it kills me; but the desk, Raj is bringing home from his work for us. Once the computer's in my room, it's like my life is complete, there'd be no reason to every come out except to eat and watch Foxtel; not to mention the freedom of looking at porn whenever i want, and the freedom of no longer having to use headphones. So Carlos (and Danniel, i think) is coming one day next week to help us move the computer table, not that i couldn't do it myself, but it's more fun with him, plus, he gets to sleepover afterwards.

Yes, i did stuff myself silly with chocolate today.

-* Avril's album is really growing on me.

10:05 PM

I'm not even going to bother trying to recap everything that's happened since i last updated. Let's just leave it at, i've been busy with school etc. and haven't had time to update.

My mum went back to Malaysia last Sunday, i'm glad to say i'm coping well, better than last time anyway, i was a bit depressed on the day she went, but was quickly snapped back to reality with the two exams that proceeeded. Dare i say i didn't even have time to miss her, i occupied myself. But i take comfort in the fact that i have nothing to occupy me now, and still i don't seem to be effected by it, sure, i miss her, but i'm not dwelling on it this time around.

Ah yes, the exams, they were alright i guess, nothing too 'Oh shit, what the fuck am i doing'. Although, there were time of distress, take the two hours before the SOR exam as an example.I've received two exams back so far, and the marks are pretty good, except for my music performane, but let's not even go there and talk about as to why i don't think i deserve the marks i got.

I have nothing planned for the holidays, here's hoping i'll try and do a lot of cheap things with my friends. My dad is going to give me an expensive Coles Myer voucher, but i'm planning to save that for the Spider-Man 3 game, i'm close to finishing Zelda and nothing really appeals to me right now, so i'm just waiting for Spider-Man.

I did buy Hilary's new album last week, though, and now i can't stop playing it, how tweenish of me, even though her sound has matured, not the image people have of her as been a tween artist in their head. Sadly i don't think she'll ever outgrow that image. Just like Ashlee will always be 'the lip syncher'. Avril's album is interesting at best, here's hoping it'll grow on me before it's actually released, why is it now that she actually sounds like a mouse? I miss her full-bodied voice.

Phillip, Tommy, Danniel and myself watched Transamerica yesterday and it was a great movie, i'd even go as far as to say it made me less prejudiced towards transgendered people. Even though i try not to be prejudiced with things regarding sexuality, i can't see anything going through my head other than 'you used to have a cock' if i ever met a transgendered person.

Aunty Ngaire goes back to NZ on Sunday, i must admit i am majorly excited to get my own room, something which is huge for me, as well as having the computer in my room, it's going to be paradise, especially with me not using headphones anymore. Now i'm just waiting to buy an LCD monitor and a new computer desk. We've signed up for Optus ADSL+2, and apparently the service automatically switches from iPrimus to Optus within four working days (with a downtime of a max. of four hours) and a modem couriered later. Well they told us this last Thursday and nothing's changed, you do the math.
