Today has been one of the most exciting days ever. I started the day waking up at 6am, after only falling asleep at 1am. Phillip's dad picked me up and we were off to Martin Place to see the Rogue Traders. We got there and there were more people than we expected. We couldn't really see anything, as only people with 'Channel 7 Audience' stickers were allowed in the studio to watch. Don't ask me how they got those stickers. Rogue Traders did their first performance, and then Phillip and I went to have some lunch at Maccas. When we came back for the second performance, there were so many people, so me and Phillip just started lining up for the signings; we thought that it was worth missing the second performance (it's not like we could see anything through the 500 layers of glass Channel 7 has outside their studio anyway) to get a front position in the line. We got to meet Natalie and James (i don't know why the drummer and lead guitarist weren't doing signings). They signed our CDs and we managed to get a photo with them.
They were actually surprised that we had both the normal edition of the album AND the limited edition, and they said 'we'll be seeing you on the tour then'; now i feel like i have to go, but tickets are $75 (pfft, Kelly Clarkson was only $80 and she's a grammy winner). We'll just see how it pans out.
After this, Phillip and I went to Eastgardens to see The Break Up, Jennifer Aniston's gorgeousness just isn't enough to hold a movie anymore. To me, it was a stupid storyline and it moved slow; it wasn't even funny. It was the worst Jennifer Aniston movie i've ever seen, but surprisingly the most successful - doesn't make sense to me.
I said The Omen didn't scare me, as it didn't. But when i tried to go to sleep the night i saw it, i just couldn't stop thinking about it (and i didn't end up sleeping until 4am). Won't be seeing any movies like that ever again.
